Katherine’s note:  The following are samples of the many letters sent by clients that I have been blessed to assist over the years.   Contrary to what may seem like miracles to them, I wish to make the point that the readings and healings referred to are nothing more, or less, than tools used to bring into balance the energetic issues within the emotional body that have become unbalanced.  I make no claim that this kind of therapy is a replacement for competent veterinary or medical treatment of any condition described.  The written words here are the recipients own.

Comments from Clients:

Last night, while you were doing the healing on my little mare Cow Girl, I was standing with my hands on her, and heat started coming through my palms.  This lasted during the whole time you were working on her, sight unseen. This morning, when I took the pads off her eyes, the gauze underneath the protective cup was absolutely dry; no pus!  You’re too modest about your gifts!

The kind of intervention that you provide our animals is something we owe them.  When I enlisted you to help Cowgirl, I didn't expect anything in the way of physical healing.  It was clear you have the ability to communicate with animals in a way that is extraordinary, and I felt Cowgirl deserved to have any kind of support I could afford.  I will actively encourage people to avail themselves of this precious gift you have, if not for their own sake, then for their animal companions.   Deborah Goldeen, Los Altos Hills, CA, 2009

I have stewed over what to say when I contacted you, as I can’t seem to organize the myriad of thoughts that flooded me when I heard you speak in Albany at the horse expo.  It was like a dam breaking.  You deeply touched many that day, and I was so taken aback by your words that I could hardly walk or talk after your lecture.  I mentioned that my Peruvian Paso stallion was as lame as I, and that started about two years before my near fatal auto accident.  Over and over I have seen pets mirror humans in all things; happiness, illness, and depression.  But I never saw the connection they make in taking on our stress to lessen the intensity in us.  I didn’t even want to go to the expo in Albany, but doors kept opening, almost insisting I go listen to you.  I’m glad I did!   Roseanna Bell,  Albany, Oregon, 2001

Lavender is thriving!  Now Katherine, although I’m spiritual, I’m also conservative and take a wait-and-see attitude.  At the agreed upon time of the healing, I sat in the chair next to her after she swatted my other cat our of her place.  She never does that!  At about 8:05 I began to notice purple lights near her neck and shoulders, and I kept blinking to see if they were real, or a light effect caused by the sun or a prism or something.  But no, the lights were only around Lavender, and as we sat there, the lights moved down her body.  At about 8:20 I got up as she turned over and curled up to go to sleep, and when I came back the lights were gone.  I want you to know that the healing was the only thing that finally worked.  You are definitely well worth more than your price, and should never accept anything less.    Reverend Lisa Mason, Bend, Oregon

The other night, you came to me in my sleep around 2:00 A.M.  You had done a healing on my mare, Mattie, in November of 2000.  She’s doing fine now, and had a beautiful colt last May.  12 days ago, we had Skipper gelded.  He was not doing well, running a fever, off his feed, and lame in his left back leg.  On antibiotics, he didn’t seem to be coming around the way I thought he should be, and I was really worried about him.  However, that night, I sensed you and heard you say everything was going to be alright, and not to worry.  I fully woke up, relieved, and contacted you first thing in the morning.  Immediately following the healing you did on him, he demanded to be fed by banging on his stall door, and began eating again and walking better.  His temperature was down by the next morning, and he recovered quickly.  Amazing!   Lisa Higbee, Rough and Ready, CA. March, 2001

My Schnauzer, Sophie, was traumatized when I was in a serious plane crash; inconsolable while I was in a coma.   Later, after my recovery, when I tried to leave her with a caretaker, she was so distressed that she ran away.  So I contacted you for a healing.  Later in the day, after you communicated with her and did the healing, she followed me out to the garden, and oddly, the dog picked three large tomatoes, took each one over to the lawn and ate them!  I was worried that she was trying to imitate me, more attached than ever.  But my brother-in-law said that while my husband and I were away on our trip, she fell in with their dog, played by their rules, and seemed pretty happy, though usually her separation issues make her crazy.  Thanks for helping her with this emotional problem of being afraid I’d never come back.   Jennifer Kinder, Salt Lake, 2005

My husband Greg and I woke early one morning to find our dog, Oso, lying on the floor, unable to get up or make his back legs work. We took him to several veterinarians, and each told us that he should be euthanized. However, I couldn’t reconcile that diagnosis.  One day when my husband Greg met Katherine Windfeather-Thompson and I talked to her later.  She offered to do a long distance healing on Oso.  As the healing took place, Oso responded by “talking”, as if someone else were in the room that he could see, and we could not.  Later we were able to take Oso along with our other dog to the dog park, where he ran all over the place, without the sling.  I feel blessed to have her in our lives!  I believe Katherine is guided by angels, and actually, I feel she is one, here on earth.   We all want to say THANK YOU!    Carol Ann Castro, Vallejo, CA 2003

In September of 1998 I suffered a stroke, and the loss of control and strength on my left side was more than an inconvenience, since I am left handed, and a graphic artist.  I contacted Katherine, to see if a “long-distance” healing could help.  She does this without being in the presence of a person or animal physically, nor is she on the phone when she does it.  At the prescribed time I went into a quiet room to sit and meditate while she did the healing, 200 miles away.  Within five minutes, my elbow began to twitch, my left hand became warm, and I definitely began to feel something in my arm.  Ten minutes into the meditation, my left shoulder suddenly “collapsed”.  Ever since the stroke, my therapist had been trying to get me to loosen my tight posture, with exercises.  The “collapse” was a release in my shoulder, elbow and hand, and after the healing, I had greater mobility and coordination.  I continued with the physical therapy, but I know the healing Katherine gave me contributed to a faster recovery.  I am now back to work, drawing and writing again.   Roberta Steele, Martinez, California, 1999.  (Note:  Roberta designed the cover for Katherine’s first book, When Doves Cried, and Horses Wept.)

I called Katherine to see if she could help me with my cat, which had about 10 lumps or sores on her neck, shoulders, and back.  I had chronic back pain.  Sunday evening, I sat on the couch with the cat as Katherine started a long distance healing.  Almost immediately I felt energy coming down into my head,  my face, arms, and torso, and my feet felt like they were being pulled right into the floor!  Yet, I felt peaceful, and warm.  Afterwards, I was very sleepy. The next day, I was absently petting my cat, when I realized with surprise that the bumps were all gone!  My back was better, and my outlook on life had suddenly changed.  I felt more positive.  I’m grateful to Katherine for what she did; and there’s a big thank you “meow” from my cat!   Rosa Zupancic, Massage Therapist, Redding, California -1999

I met Katherine at Equitana USA in June of 1999, and she was extremely helpful with the reading she gave me!  My sixteen year old Thoroughbred had gotten sick, and I ended up having Stretch King put to sleep.  Katherine was able to put my mind at ease with that decision.  During the reading, she repeated to me what I had told this horse right before we euthanized him.  Nobody could have known that, as I was alone with him for a few minutes before.  She said “Your horse’s spirit has already found a place to wait, and someday, somewhere, you will meet him again.”  I’ll never know how she knew that, but the chills that ran through me during that session brought me peace of mind.  I can never thank her enough!   Robin LeMasters, Brighton, Illinois 2000

Shortly after I met Katherine at our feed store, one of our yearling Quarter Horse fillies sliced her leg to the bone.  My husband and the vet thought I should put the filly down, but I just didn’t feel right about it.  I called Katherine, and she arrived after the vet had put a bandage over the wound.  She described the exposed bone and serrated tendon damage, through the bandage!  I agreed for her to do a healing on the leg, and the filly recovered.  Katherine fully acknowledged the skill and care of our vet, but I have continued to witness her healing and communication skills with the horses, and one of the most remarkable had to do with a colt that had pigeon fever for at least three months.  Exasperated when the lancing and antibiotics did nothing to stop the abscesses, I asked Katherine to do a healing on him.  Within 12 hours, not only was the huge swelling in the colt’s chest gone, but I felt completely different.   Kit Reynolds, Red Bluff, CA 1999

During a routine mammogram, my doctor discovered a lump in my left breast, and I was referred to a specialist, who confirmed the presence of a lump about the size of a walnut.  I was shocked when I saw the sonogram myself!  The specialist ordered an emergency biopsy to determine whether the lump was malignant or benign.  At the time, I was involved in helping my husband set up our race barn for the season, so I compromised the urgency expressed by the specialist.  Of course, this only added to the stress both of us were under, but we kept the news to ourselves; except for one person.  Katherine was getting ready to catch a plane to Idaho for another equine trade show, but suggested we do a long distance healing the night before she was to leave.  That night at 7, I sat down in a comfortable chair, and promptly fell asleep!   The following Monday, I went in for another sonogram to locate the lump to be biopsied.  After that they sent me in for a dozen x-rays, then another mammogram.  The more they took, the more puzzled the looks on their faces.  What they did find was too small to biopsy, the walnut reduced to the size of the head of a pin.  They couldn’t comprehend this, and I didn’t tell them what I had done.    I did, however, tell my husband what Katherine had done, and I finally told him of all the other times she’d worked on and saved several of our horses.  It was time to tell him the truth about what she does, whether he could handle it or not. We had a friend on the racetrack who had been fighting prostrate and bone marrow cancer.  He had three tumors in his back, and sores on his face, which he covered with a beard.  His skin had become so sensitive following radiation and chemotherapy; he could not wear long pants.  He looked terrible!  So we had him call Katherine, and she gave him the same instructions for the healing session.  While doing it, she described seeing a Roman soldier in battle, and afterwards, asked him if he felt his cancer was something he had to fight!  When he answered yes, she suggested he change his thoughts about it, and rather than make war on it, simply see it as an experience he had chosen to go through.   Within three days, the sores on his neck and face were gone, and he shaved the beard off.  Before the end of two weeks, the tumors in his back were gone, and the cancer was in remission.  But what was remarkable was the way he looked after the healing!   I know Katherine has done other healings on cancer, with the same results.  I also know some find it inconceivable.  Katherine states it is simply the power of the healing love of the “God of her heart” that flows through her, and that is why she is committed to do whatever it takes to reach people who need that.    LaDonna Jewett, Red Bluff, California  1999.

Thanks aren’t enough, and neither is money, to express how grateful we are for your help in healing Sinbad.  This is one of the most extraordinary experiences of our lives!  The part you are playing doing God’s work is phenomenal; you are truly blessed to be doing something so significant.  Miracles happen every day, but it is rare when one can experience such things this clearly.  We feel as though we are blessed merely by meeting you, and being graced by your presence.  Thank you again and again, and God bless you!  All I can say is you “saved” Sinbad, and we’ll be eternally grateful.  Bless your heart!  Please continue your work.  Greg McClure and Monique Ramirez, Cayucos, CA   1999

While you were working on Variety’s Legacy he visible relaxed and pushed his right side up against a nearby gate, which is unusual because of the sensitivity in that area.  I felt the energy moving through my body and while you worked on the right rear leg he’d had the infection in I felt nauseous and a definite urge to cry.    Heidi McRae, Palo Alto, CA 2000

Thank you for doing the emergency healing for colic on my young Quarter Horse gelding!  My veterinarian didn’t know what was causing the problem, or what to do about it, as the usual methods were not working.  I was stuck in the house on the phone at the time you were actually doing the long distance healing, but my nephew said it was amazing the way the colt was looking around and taking deep long breaths.  Within minutes his distended abdomen started to go down to normal size, and within 20 minutes he was bucking and playing, terrorizing his mother, and eating again.  I’m putting a check in the mail to you tomorrow.    Tina Moore, Greenville, Texas  2001

Well, you told me it would take about 20 minutes to “rev” up your energy, so I gathered the trash for the next morning’s pick up and went out with it.  All of a sudden the energy started to move inside me, so I threw the last bag to the curb and flew upstairs to get the dogs in the room with me.  I felt like I was being both pushed and pulled at the same time towards the earth.  It was so strong!  19 minutes later it turned off like a switch!  I didn’t watch the dogs much, but now the collie’s eyes aren’t so sunken in and dehydrated, and he seems happier and more full of energy.  He even jumped up on the bed upstairs yesterday and he could not do that with his arthritic hips before!    Liz Nitch, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin  2001

I never would have imagined Katherine would be such an incredible inspiration and mentor to me, since I never really believed in the power of any so-called healer.  But after a year of going from trainer to trainer, veterinarians and others, and endless prayers, I connected with her.

It was love at first sight when I bought a filly Katherine had worked on previously, for a leg injury.   But I soon realized a new challenge; to say she was assertive is a shorter term to describe aggressive, defiant, irritable, aggravating, etc.  Each trainer who worked with her told me they didn’t think this was the right horse for me.  Well, I cried, not wanting to, but essentially giving up on her.  Mind you, Katherine was just sitting on the back fence waiting for me to ask for her help; no pressure, no promises or guarantees; just heartfelt advice and an offer to help.   How can I even explain the changes that came about in my life?  I only remember feeling numbness like no other, and then incredible sensations following that.  Not only did I feel great emotional release, my physical symptoms began to change in the days following the healing, and I had a new sense of peace that also seemed to affect my mare.  Her eyes softened and she became more affectionate and responsive.  We really started to heal our relationship.  I know we are all on a continual healing journey, but Katherine’s lifelong knowledge of horses and her gift from God make her an unbelievably unique lady.  I thank her for believing in me and my mare.  Barbara Kalek, San Jose, CA.  2001.

You have quite a gift!  During y our lecture, I experienced being bathed in White Light and moving into a different, finer vibration.  A pain I had in my right chest diminished substantially.  I had though it was muscular, but now I think it might have been deeper.    Pam Salem, Seymour, TN.  2000

I don’t quite know how to describe what happened to me when you did the healing on Rex, but I knew when you were working on the cataracts because my eyes flew open, and I was seeing things in much sharper contrast.  Bill felt very peaceful and calm also.  Thanks!  It certainly was an interesting experience, and Rex seems more alert, active, and sleeping less.    Shirley Collier, Red Bluff, CA    2001

My older Queensland mix, Jill, and my Lab-Pit-bull Lucy both had eye infections, and both started to clear up immediately after the healing.  Jill’s cataracts have shrunk and her eyes are much clearer; she’s more active and agile, too, and Luc is not quite as aggressive and jealous with Jill and the other dogs.  The scratching at the missing hair on her back and tail has subsided and the rash has dried up.  I notice very definite differences; thanks so much.   Diane Dunbar, Powell Butte, Oregon. 2001

Well, my little pony is completely sound after you worked on her severe case of founder, and she not only stopped dripping milk immediately, she carried her foal to full term.  You were right about the fracture on the back leg of the gelding too.  He’s improving every day.  Just as you predicted, those people backed out on their commitment to buy my other mare.  They put money down on her and then told me they decided not to take her after all, just as you predicted.   Meghan Doyle, Central, Indiana.  2000

After listening to you speak at Horse Affairs, I couldn’t help but wonder about my little mustang filly Willow, her bout with strangles, and the fact that I have pneumonia.  I’m glad I called and had you do a healing on us.  I’m much better, and Willow is eating again.  Her swelling has disappeared.  Thanks so much.  Diane Coleman, Middleton, ID  2002

What else can I say but thanks for all your help!  The tumor is gone between Sasha’s shoulder, and both of them have quit urinating on my stuff.  It’s been an amazing experience each time you’ve worked on us.  Patty Eide, Redding, CA  2001

You were very accurate describing what you saw in my three barrel horses.  I already knew what their problems were, and you just nailed each one!  Sharp Easter Jet was very tense and cranky before the healing you did, but afterwards, she was soft all over, and there was no need for follow-up massage.

When I accidentally ran over my Queensland Heeler Molly, she had obvious vertebral damage, and could not control her hind end, dragging her legs behind her on the ground.  The prognosis was not good, but though I used other alternative methods as well, the real turning point for her came after you did the 2nd healing on her.  She fully recovered.   Wow!  Joyce Jackson, Equine Specialty Therapist, Palo Cedro, California, 2001

Remember when I told you I could not turn my mare Peaches out with the other horses because she would literally savage them?  Well after the healing she now hangs out with the other horses, sometimes three to a stall.  Before, it would have looked like a war zone if there was even another horse next to it.  I couldn’t believe the things I saw her do during the healing you did; I’ve never seen her so relaxed!   How do I thank you?    Jennifer Hadden, Huntsville, Alabama, 2000.

Virginia and I count ourselves fortunate to have met you at Equitana USA, and I want you to know that the day after your reading, I went to the doctor and he could find no explanation for the fact that the cancer had stopped growing.  I’m working hard many hours, with energy to spare, and handling the chemotherapy will, with few side effects.  I know your focus will help me remain cancer free.           Russell Vasallo, Liberty, KY 2000.

I met Katherine at Equitana USA ‘98’ in Louisville, Kentucky, and called her later to ask her about my yearling colt.  She stated that I was uncertain about what I was doing with him, and said, “Be confident, and the colt’s confidence will grow with yours.” Then I asked about my mare.  Katherine said, “She’s very independent, just like you.”  “Are you telling me that my horse is a perfect reflection of myself” I asked?  She laughed, and went on to say that the less demanding and judgmental I was of myself, the easier the mare would be to work with.  Well, that that turned out to be accurate also!   One week later, I returned home to find the yearling on the front lawn!   To my horror, I found a metal post broken in half and the two top wires of high tensile fence down.  Shaken, I called Katherine.  Immediately she said, “He is not seriously injured, but I do see an area of hair loss around his shoulder”.  She went on to say that she saw three dogs running through the pasture, oblivious of their surroundings.  “They weren’t chasing him, but they startled him, and instinctively he bolted.  Next thing he knew, he was on the other side of the fence!”  The moment Katherine mentioned the dogs I knew she was right, because I had seen several passing through the pasture a few weeks earlier.   Greatly relieved, I mentioned that I had been experiencing a lot of pain recently from an old injury experienced in my early days as a veterinarian.  I had numerous radiographic and MRA evaluations, but none were conclusive as to what caused the pain that kept me up at night.  I asked her if she could help with a healing, thinking it might be an interesting experience.  But that was an understatement!  I actually felt areas of my body opening up, as I recalled memories of old injuries, and I experienced incredible Joy!    I don’t know why my experience was so vivid, but I have not had the necessity for any pain relievers since, and sleep comfortably through the night now.  For that I am truly grateful!  The colt becomes more confident with himself daily, and my mare is coming around at her own pace, of course.  Katherine was right. As I find more joy in what I do, the more responsive the mare has become.  I think that meeting at Equitana was pretty fateful.  I’ve learned more about animal communication, and I have applied it to my practice, with interesting results.   Wendy J Owens, D.M.V. Greenfield, Indiana, 1998

My dog, Kodie, could barely get up and down, and walked like an old, crippled dog.   A friend referred me to Katherine, and I called her.  Not long into the conversation, she said she saw a nerve in Kodie’s neck that was pinched, causing the neck problem, and she had arthritis in her hips.  She also noted some build-up in the body of toxic residue, and warned me about the possibility of some temporary intestinal discomfort as these were purged, for all of us.   During the appointed time of the healing, I sat with Kodie at my feet. Suddenly she moved her neck and make an unusual kind of shake, and then got up with no trouble and walked over to her water dish with her head up.  She moved much easier and her neck was obviously fine, her hips much less stiff.  I myself experienced an intense and very profound feeling of peace during this healing.   Katherine kept in touch to see how Kodie was progressing, and we discussed the dog’s emotional and physical health.  I found her to be accurate and effective beyond expectation.  She did all of this long distance, rather than in person or on the phone.  Later, she worked on a wart-like growth on the right foreleg that Kodie chewed on all the time.  Nothing conventional had worked to remove it.  To my amazement, this growth began to shrink, and within a week it disappeared.  I am deeply grateful to Katherine for her truly remarkable healing ability, and for her courage and commitment in continuing this work.  I know there are many who don’t believe in it.  Her work is the next step beyond conventional Western veterinary and medical treatment, and it is my desire by sharing this story, that the way be paved for her to bring it into society at large so that more animals and people may be healed, and experience a miracle personally, as I have.  Bless you, Katherine!  Nancy Waldron, Redding, CA, 2000

By the time I went to Equitana USA, in Louisville, Kentucky in the summer of 1998, I was desperate for some answers for my horse, Valiant Ace.  I had been encouraged to buy this 21 year old Thoroughbred by my riding coach, because of his experience in dressage and jumping, and his kind disposition.  He’d raced as a young horse, but later suffered a severe injury to his right hock.  An un-orthodox surgical procedure had been the only thing that had saved him.  This history had created problems with his ability to continue performing.  Though he never refused, he balked at picking up his right lead, and had become extremely girthy.  When I resorted to using a crop and a spur to get him to take the lead, he got very irritable, and more than a little scary.  He also had a hitch in his left rear leg, which was confusing because as far as I knew, the damage had been in the right.  Katherine almost immediately began telling me things about Ace and I that she had no way of knowing, as I didn’t mention them.  I was blown away!   A week later, I called her in California.  She informed me that Ace was having trouble with his right lead because of an abscess, even though there were no external signs of this.  I took her word for it, and had her do a long distance healing on him.  Believe me, that was quite an experience!   At the agreed upon time I took Ace out to his paddock alone.  Katherine was over 2,000 miles away, but I felt the energy moving through my own body as she worked on Ace!  Several times, he jerked his head up, stared rigidly into space, and began breathing deeply.  I felt queasy, with heavy pressure in my chest, and throat.  I also felt very emotional!  But the results were truly amazing!  Ace’s canter in both directions became wonderful; he was no longer unbalanced and strong to the right.  His girthiness disappeared, and she correctly identified the hitching in the left hind leg as stringhalt, which was confirmed by my veterinarian.  She suggested putting Ace on a supplement, which I did, and the hitch all but disappeared.  She noted that Ace had a sinus infection, which he did, and she also communicated feelings he had about something going on at the barn.  He’d become very cranky, and when I described his behavior, Katherine suggested I stop allowing him to be used for lessons, though I hadn’t told her they had just started using him for that.  He’d gotten so good everyone wanted to ride him!  But Katherine said the repetition bored him, and he resented being used that way.  I followed her suggestion to stop, and he returned to his normal happy self.  We won several jumping and dressage classes after the healing, and became a true team that even my coach commented on.   Sadly, in the fall of 1998, Ace was found dead in his paddock.  I called Katherine and told her it looked like he had slipped and broken his neck in the fall.  She disagreed, saying horses don’t usually die that way.  She said he was dead when he hit the ground of a heart attack.  My vet confirmed that.  It helped ease my pain, and helped me move through my grieving process.    Cheri Wine, Bristol, Tennessee, 1999
